I bought a new but old suit. I'm impressed with the quality of it considering that it wasn't made for mesh bodies and only includes "standard" sizing (so, I'm assuming it was made quite a while ago.) It's "The Dandy" from Deadwool. #SecondLife

Not ideal, but I found workaround! 😂 I can wear a copy of my head that is not BoM with a texture on it that only shows the top right corner with the rest of the head alpha'd out. Now I can wear BoM Alphas to hide my neck as needed without losing the tip of my beak! ^v^ #SecondLife #furry

Yes, it has to be .tga and your painted image needs to be "Solid" (no transparent parts) because any transparent parts will become white when exported. If you use Photoshop, I highly recommend the Solidify filters from this freebie pack. Been using them for years. www.flamingpear.com/freebies.html
A visual example of what Flaming Pear's "Solidify" filter does to an image with transparent background. In this example, the hand holding the phone was a cutout on a transparent background. Notice how the colors around the hand and phone are used to fill the image edge-to-edge.

It's a problem for any BoM heads that need the top right corner to be opaque. Why do I need this to work? I want to hide part of my neck for specific outfits using custom Alphas so I don't have to keep saving copies of my head with custom skins just in case I want to update my skin texture later. 😅

TIL the Head slot, when using BoM and either Alpha Blending or Alpha Masking, the top right corner of the texture is AUTOMATICALLY transparent by default (because it's where the system lashes are) even if the diffuse and alpha textures' data indicate 100% opaqueness in that corner. 🤬 #SecondLife
