What Rion wants most is connection. “I just want to be part of a community again,” he told us.

He’s an artist who spends his days carving walking sticks and coloring beautiful drawings. When I saw him recently, he said he was taking Atlas “back to his homeland,” where he found him. It was the sweetest thing. 🐾

Rion grew up in a military family and lived with his mother in East Oakland. When he was 48, his mother was murdered, a loss that sent him into deep grief and eventually onto the streets. Since then he’s endured incredible hardship, including a broken back and most recently a violent attack.

So obvious they’re using LLMs to “do” all the work for them. Our infrastructure will look like a hallucinated AI shitpost. God help us.

I adore Food Not Bombs. I love all of them.
They fed me and gave me veggies when I was hungry.
And we are all welcome at my local F.N.B. regardless of financial or immigrant status or any other thing.

Hard to think of a better criminal record “stain” than violence against a Nazi. The gesture is itself a call to violence—any violent reaction in return is by definition self-defense.
