4. Calfresh Emergency Grocery Card Program: In early November, we issued a GiveCard to San Francisco CalFresh households in response to the federal government shutdown. Please use this card by March 31!

3. CalFresh food benefits replacement - apply by January 20: If your food spoiled due to the extended power outage that started on December 20, 2025, you can apply for food replacement benefits by January 20. Fill out Form 303 and give us a call at (855) 355-5757.

2. Medi-cal asset limits are back for older people & adults with disabilities: The asset limits apply to you if you’re over 65, have a disability, or live in a nursing home. The asset limit for individuals will be $130,000 and $65,000 for each additional household member (up to 10).

1. Medi-cal eligibility changes to undocumented immigrants: Undocumented Californians aged 19 and older who currently don’t have Medi-Cal are no longer eligible to enroll for full medical coverage through Medi-Cal. There are some exceptions, visit www.sfhsa.org/services/pub... for more info!

💡 What’s changing?
If you’re undocumented and not currently enrolled in Medi-Cal, you won’t be able to sign up for full medical coverage after this date. But if you’re already enrolled, you can keep your coverage as long as you renew on time, regardless of your immigration status.
