You can’t even be a gay man leering at a massive pair of knockers these days. Because of woke.

Look who I spotted in Soho a couple of weeks back.

We live in an age of profoundly asymmetric accountability. One side can shrug off any sense of responsibility (Trump was impeached for his part in the insurrection but still ended up President again). The other is battered for any small misdemeanor and expected to grovel and, ideally, quit.

This felt appropriate this evening. As a lad thirty years ago I was glad to know who the enemy was and why we all need to stand up to them.

The thing on the train is absolutely horrendous. One saving grace is we don’t have guns in this country. I mean look at this from the US.

It wouldn’t surprise me if some right wingers over there chime in on what a lawless hellhole the UK is, encouraged by our own dimwits.

It’s quite telling that a year and a bit after the election the government still doesn’t get called the government. Some people just won’t accept that Labour gets to run the country some times.

From my dog walk this morning. A heron had caught a rat, which was squealing and wriggling so the heron was repeatedly dunking it in the river to get it to give up. Nature is pretty horrible sometimes.

I love this genre of article, in which a middle-class person discovers how dispiriting and degrading it is dealing with the social safety net. The authors just want us to understand that poverty is so much harder for rich people.

‘Did you get me that picture of some working class men?’

‘Sure did boss’

‘You made sure they looked really working class right? No ruddy cheeks, gold watch or Gant USA fleeces or anything?’

‘Errrrrr…’

Mostly pretty good actually. Oh by the way I snapped this last week.

Those cringeworthy bouncing Kopites are just some blokes having harmless fun and hurting absolutely nobody. In fact they are doing something more middle aged men should do in loosening up around friends and being prepared to look mildly foolish.

Photograph taken in terminal 3 butterfly house, as an intense thunderstorm was taking place. Absolutely amazing experience.

I’ve been watching an incredibly stupid Mark Wahlberg film and can’t escape the feeling he is just building up to the starring role in Michael Owen: the movie.

Very vaguely thinking of a forgotten 90s indie act so wondered if they were on Apple Music and now I feel a bit bummed out.
