Honest reaction to #TheWarOfTheRohirrim . I loved the animation but it does not quite have the magic of the LOTR movie trilogy. The strongest moments are when the original soundtrack plays or when we have callbacks the fans know and are familiar with.

Linghun is my most interesting read of the year. Ai Jiang’s short novella on its face is a morbid story about grief and longing. Set in a housing community, where the homes allow a family to commune with the ghosts of their loved ones. A tragedy of lives of refusing to move on.

In anticipation of Bhool Bhulaiya 3, we rewatched the OG. Um..was it always so bad? The horror part is ok, but the romance & comedy is so awful. Vidya Balan is a bit of a saving grace, but Paresh Rawal & Akshay Kumar are NOT funny. My taste for horror movies is not super refined....(1/2)

Conflicted about this mystery series. The setting of ancient Rome as the backdrop of Marcus’s adventures is the main hook and a tremendous pull for a history buff like me. The actual mysteries, the detective himself & the writing leave much more to be desired.
