This also applies to cartoons and comics and basically everything. It doesn’t matter if you have a concept of something already out there. If you love it, do it. Your work will have your unique mark on it by virtue of being made by YOU. (Also two cakes.)
Indie Dev discovers the game they're making basically already exists, worried of being deemed a ripoff. Original dev responds.

If you are using GameMaker and Fmod and have team members using a Mac to work on the project, when naming your soundbanks, don't include spaces... Macs apparently hate that and will refuse to understand what it means

I did sound work on both of these games and you can get them on sale now until the 23rd!
Was working on reeds and left them out to dry... came back to pack up for rehearsal and found this one on the floor, broken and with holes that look suspiciously like teeth marks lol

Saw a job at company I would love to work at and would shift me closer to the career of my dreams... but it pays $6 less per hour then what I'm making now and is located in a more expensive city that I would have to commute 1.5 hours too (and 1.5 hours back)

nothing quite like clocking in at work, then not even 30 min later feeling so terrible you may pass out, so you have to leave but 2 min after you leave you have to pull over because you feel even worse, and you sit in your car for an hour before feeling well enough to drive home...
