Recently got a small transcription/translation gig that is paying me more than any art commission ever paid me. And it's making me wonder if I should finally accept that my art is not worth people's money and give up on art commissions altogether. Haven't had any new commissioners in ages. My last few commissions were from either friends or returning clients. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate their generosity, but it makes me feel horrible thinking that I keep begging and mooching from them. I'm never gonna stop drawing, that's for sure. It's the only thing I'm actually "good" at after all, but it would only be a hobby level thing while I put the rest of my efforts on something else, like finding more gigs or an actual job.
