Twice in one week. Once again there was a crash on the M65 motorway and once again Googles autonews that clearly has no human editing throws up and image of the M65 Gemini aeroplane. Welcome to your dogshit AI generated future.

This is what happens when you let the A.I. do the work unchecked by a person who has actual intelligence. It uses a photo of an aeroplane for a motorway crash and closure because it doesn't know the difference and they have the same name (M65).

Nice photo. I was a little more fortunate as it was clear here so I didn't have to wait so much as to open the door and see it then run inside for a camera.

October Harvest Moon, also known as a supermoon. Got a clear view this evening.

Very clear night last night so I was up until 02.30 taking this image of the Andromeda Galaxy. Image stack from 1K+ images on a budget smart telescope. Was fun getting up to walk the dog at 06.00.

The macro quality on the Pixel 9 Pro shows just how far cameras on phones have progressed.

Doggo looking far too happy even though it was torrential rain and windy when I took this. She just wants me to throw the ball i was holding.

Another couple of hours of clear night before clouds tonight. This is the North American Nebula (NGC 7000).

Well stayed up too late looking at stars and in particular a part of the Butterfly Nebula near Sadr, part of the Cygnus cross. Image is a first pass stack straight from the telescope.

Someone has, for his bellybutton day, Sherlock Holmes Lego book nook. Which is going to fit very nicely with his Folio Society Sherlock Holmes books.

3hrs of images in a mosaic with my little backyard telescope this evening netted an acceptable stack of M31 (Andromeda Galaxy), and a tiny M32 to the side.

As a response to something I posted a picture of my cat, Darwin. He finally left us last year at the age of 19 (we knew him for 18 years). People keep wondering when I will get another cat. I don't know. It still feels like someone asking me when I will get a new best friend who passed away.
