I bought my first Famicom game! It's Clu Clu Land. It's going with my Animal Crossing collection, because the GameCube AC is where I played a bunch of NES games for the first time, including this one :) (The only AC game with an emulator in it!)

Tried Blood on the Clocktower! I only won one out of three games, but it was very fun being in such an atmospheric house setup. People got to choose Nerf gun or sword for town executions 🤣 It was neat seeing people form little alliances and sharing information. And the lighting effects were spooky!

They called Koko an angel at the vet today :') She's dehydrated and needs more fiber, so I went and found a wet food with pumpkin that she likes that hopefully won't give her reactions (she's a cat who's allergic to the mainstream stuff 😅)

Here is my dad's dog Tater. He got her a year ago exactly (Happy Gotcha Day!!!), and I got to meet her for the first time this week. She has a "therapy pillow" that she drags over to nuzzle on when she needs comfort, and she kneads on it like a cat 🥺

I've spent too long feeling sorry for myself as an outsider and a traumatized kid. What I went through is legitimate, but I'm also blessed with the support and care of some of the best people out there. I'd just closed myself off from them. I need to be the best me for them and to accept their love.

I thought that I was forgettable, just a ghost wandering through whenever I come back to California again. But knowing that even nine years after moving away, old friends still remember and want to see me, despite their busy lives... it makes me openly weep. It is so humbling.

This trip home brought tears. I also laughed, and hugged, and felt so loved.
I've always had a hard time feeling like I belong anywhere or that people want me there. It runs deep. But on this trip, I finally felt I could connect. I can't really explain how much that means to me. I felt home again.

Landed in Denver for my layover back to Philly. Thank you to Santo for having the first airport food I have legitimately fully enjoyed. Sweet potato burrito for the win!

The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment in Oakland, CA is a phenomenonal place. I'm so glad that my uncle recommended it! Thanks also to Dalton for meeting up with us. I'll post more photos soon

Been tidying before our trip. Found Christmas and birthday cards from my mom. Cried really hard. I miss her so much, especially around the holidays. She put so much effort into decorating and music for Christmas and Halloween. But Mimi heard me, ran, and jumped onto my lap. Thankful for my babies.
