Felt like trying to mess with the Bevy engine today.
I'd say I could get used to this! If only it didn't take 200 years to compile (and that's *with* cranelift and mold and all the other optimisations).
I might need to look into pruning some of the features if I ever try to use it seriously.

It took forever, but I figured out how to build NetHack's Qt interface!
I really can't get into the TTY version since it's too archaic even for me, but Fedora doesn't package nethack-qt and the AUR package is out of date. Needed to patch the game for modern GCC but it'll do for now.

Figured out how to make working dialogue boxes in Godot! It uses rsplit to separate the strings into arrays based on newlines and then iterates over it every time you press a button.
I'll port this over to my Sonic RPG later.

Been experimenting with super low-res Godot games lately. In this case I'm trying 320x180 since it integer scales up to all the modern resolutions. Who needs 4K when you've got 180p?

Figured out how to display each character's specific 3D model for my Sonic RPG during battle sequences when they're in the party.
So far I'm using the Generations models (without animations) but I'd like to change them to custom models at some point.

It's been a while since I last worked on it, but the overworld part of the Sonic RPG now has a rudimentary implementation of variable jump height.

I'd like to add a spindash next so that you can ambush enemies, but I should probably make overworld enemies first.

Lyric the stupid Boom snake has been stuck in my head ever since Frontiers came out and he refuses to leave even though I've never played Rise of Lyric.
Honourable mention goes to Nyarlathotep from Persona 2. That game seems really cool but only the first half of the P2ology is on the EU Vita store.

Modded the game to make Skitty the starter. Named the protagonist and the hero of the run after MegaTen's second most famous cat person.
