As promised, a thread of rambling on two different types of hypno scenario. Ones where free will is completely taken away, and ones where free will remains (but the subject is given new urges/psychological incentives).

i think having your eyes caught and captivated by swirling lights should simultaneously be so distracting you drop what you're doing -- but also casual enough you don't even think twice about it. completely normal to have that level of focus-upending total priority shift at a moment's notice.
