Monsters, tentacles, plants, oh my! I write monsters and humans doing. well. You know.

My class did the exact same thing! This film and Wiesel's Night.

I'm a huge believer in reminding people that behind all monstrous acts is a human, but The Boy in the Striped Pajamas skips right over "human" and leaps wholeheartedly into "perfectly reasonable given the info he had, really"

That's one of those things that make me wish I could reply, "that's not a normal human sentence," to, because that has had weirdly good results at my workplace

Thankfully my mom wasn't mad at me and realized calling the police was the correct thing to do, but why the hell did they BREAK A SECOND DOOR. The front door was already open!

The entire rest of the time we lived there, we had pallet wood nailed to the back doorframe

(And if you're wondering why my mom broke into her own house when she wasn't supposed to be there, she had been unexpectedly laid off and accidentally left her house key at her job, and really just wanted to cry in bed about it.

And then the cops broke our other door. The first could be repaired.)

Also, I'm just saying, Salazar Zed rolls off the tongue a LOT better than Sammy Salazar.

I don't know the name, but some Asian import stores sell jars of crispy garlic swimming in chili oil. Absolutely divine spread for tofu or soups

Artistic Merit Advanced Guide:
"It made me feel happy" - high art
"I could take or leave it" - slop, lowbrow
"It made me feel uncomfortable and challenged my perception of morality" - objectively immoral and should be banned. Bad feelings are BAD people!!

That sounds not good. You should be seeking news out, or otherwise you'll only see the stories that happen to be both important and consumable to the people you follow.

And maybe some curiously while browsing the non-fic at a library will do you well.

Just "happening" into learning seems flat.
