The worst things that happened to me in Chicago recently: Jewel moved the Martin’s potato rolls, all of the up escalators at O’Hare were broken, I got ghosted by a bus & had to wait 2 minutes for another, a guy behind me on the train smelled strongly of patchouli (TBH didn't mind that one).

Glad to hear it - I'm going to miss your updates on the Other Place (I'm trying to decide when to pull the plug). I need to post more here, too, since I've already stopped using the Other Other Place.

I always maintained that a lot of Atlanta restaurants maintained an undeserved "we fancy" markup, even when when they were running out of a casual food hall or food truck. Only got worse as real estate/supply/worker prices surged (though I will always support higher wages for restaurant staffers).
