Took the bus to a client visit in Seattle & walked back to the hotel, enabling me to stumble on a pocket park with a waterfall (Waterfall Garden Park, go figure). I adore it when I have a business trip in a city that is reasonably walkable & has good public transportation. So much easier to explore.

I can't remember the phonetic alphabet AT ALL when trying to spell something out loud. I'll be all, "B as in barometer, O as in oliphaunt, like LOTR oliphaunt not Timothy Olyphant."

lol Southwest updating my boarding time so often that I’m eventually going to have to go back in time to get on this plane.

They had me at "Y'all Aboard."
If you're frustrated Gulf Coast service is happening while the route you want isn't, remember Louisiana, Mississippi & Alabama + Mobile have provided operating funding.
I'll list those states again so it can sink in: LA, MS, AL. Brick red politically.
What's your state's excuse?
From Thursday: Amtrak announced the Mardi Gras service will start running twice daily between New Orleans, LA and Mobile, AL this summer. This finally restores passenger service to part of the route suspended nearly 20 years ago after Hurricane Katrina media.amtrak.com/2025/04/intr...

Today’s coffee shop work session allowed me to see:
A fashionista Whippet wearing a scarf.
A group of preschoolers enthusiastically walking/skipping home in the snow.
A chain of pedestrians working in harmony to “please hold that bus” for a lady struggling to get to the stop.
I love this city.

Taking the Brightline from Orlando to West Palm Beach and this is my favorite passenger.

I wouldn’t trade Chicago for Orlando but I will accept a patio mai tai in February as a viable argument for a short stint of snowbirding.

It appears that a hip new hotel design trend is a motion-sensor light switch in the bathroom and I cannot emphasize enough how much I DO NOT WANT THIS FEATURE at 2 a.m.

“This might be stupid but it might also be an idea” five stars, say less.
