Ableist ignorance is assuming that I’m unable to operate a cell phone because of my blindness. Educate yourselves, please! As is everything: it’s a spectrum. My visual input is inconsistent and unreliable. I’m innovative AF though, and still find ways to do almost everything I want to do!

Finally was able to get my migraine Botox treatment (2 weeks late) after waiting for insurance to pay. I hate that they have this much control and influence in my care and my daily life. Something has to change. We need to do better. And I’m not going to stop talking about it.

If there was one piece of advice I could go back and tell my younger self… this would probably be it. Change “isn’t real” to “isn’t always real” and I agree. Some people ARE capable of growing. Not all of them are ready.. and not always at the right time. So many variables out of our control. 🫶🏻
