Shocked that Myrtle Beach didn't make the list 🤯

This was our old neighborhood in Myrtle Beach after the rains around 10/5/2015. Had the same results the year after with Hurricane Matthew. FD had to deploy boats for medical emergencies in the neighborhood.

😂 Imelda's rain finally cleared out overnight last night. It was sunny with a good breeze today. No lizard surfing- Big Daddy has either passed on or moved on to the garden- he's like a Bigfoot sighting now 🤭 but quite a few of his lil progeny running around the patio/plants.

It seems you thrive on mass chaos and destruction. It seems you want the worst to happen until it doesn't and then wow- here you are with your hate. Don't worry those variables will eventually catch up to you and when it does all those prayers will get you is a woulda, coulda, shoulda from me 🤷🏼‍♀️

devastating weather event, looking for that one drinkable can of beer, a functioning lighter to dry and light that butt end of a half burned Marlboro- congrats you won the coin toss variable and still exist because chances are- even though someone got the warnings and prepared accordingly, didn't.

and you just HAVE to get your pics online of the devastation to play on your "woe is me, me, me where's my help" persona. So spare me your "rightful indignation" because you refuse to see past your ignorance and educate yourself because you, after all, are the problem with your conspiracy spewing

shan55.bsky.social
These same people who bitch and moan when a weather event happens in their area and whine that "no one told us" or "there was no warnings" Yes, there were warnings and yes you were told but you're so caught up in your me, me, me ignorance that you couldn't grasp the concept that it would happen to

early morning model runs are showing that Imelda may actually "dance" with Humberto and get pulled out to sea before landfall. That's great and possibly the best case scenario. So what's the problem you ask??
The same cast of characters from Helene- that's the problem- all up in their hungover

in high school that we've NEVER used- that's meteorology. All week there's been at least 3 scenarios involving Imelda. Earlier yesterday forecast models were hinting at the worst- landfall somewhere on the SC coast with major differences between the models of rainfall amounts. Now overnight and

hauling my exhausted ass out of bed I don't know if it's formed but I do know forecast models changed overnight igniting another firestorm against the meteorologists once again.
Weather is made up of numerous, complex variables. We take our sunny days for granted. Remember that math we learned

🧵 Here we go again 🙄 Not that anyone will see this in their timelines because it seems that I have very little reach but let's talk about the weather. Specifically what's happening right now off the coast of the southern US.
Currently Humberto is out there with Imelda expected to form- as I'm just

alarming difference in projected rainfall...it'll all come down to the variables at play and which forecast model interpreted the variables correctly I guess.
shan55.bsky.social
or the reliability on their model performance I guess is a better term. So many different variables are at play with these storms and the smallest changes in a given variable can have a big impact on the forecast models and even the expected storm. Currently the GFS and EURO are forecasting an

There's quite a few forecast models used. The AI one is new this year and I believe mostly experimental. I started educating/absorbing what I could on TS/Canes when I moved to SC in 2014. GFS and the EURO are usually the 2 main forecast models that meteorologists rely on due to their correctness

It's always the worst case scenario for canes as of late. Personally I was hoping the two would merge and they'd just name it Karen (the next on the list) because it'd be so on point for 2025.

If it stalls off the coast as they think- we're possibly looking at 20+ inches of rainfall and flooding on the Intracoastal and Waccamaw worse than what we had with Matthew depending on where the heavier bands are😖
