It goes against the “FPS roguelike” gimmick, but at some point they patched in an option to have infinite lives, which lessened the grind of the game. It was enjoyable but nothing special, worth checking out on Game Pass or at a steep discount.

Honest question that I’ve been waffling on myself: is piracy an ethical middle-ground? They’re the easiest thing on the list of companies to avoid/boycott, but it’s also one of the few I can still consume without giving them a penny.
