yesterday i watched the X-Files episode that is basically The Thing but but in 1/3rd the time and no special effects and it's really fun, that's the sort of thing i miss from having tv shows with longer runs. being able to do what feels like in-universe fanfic like that. it's just neat

I'm not saying I'm respsonsible for the mild weather round my way, but when we had that freezing cold snap a few weeks ago, I bought heated blankets pillows, thermals and those hand warmer thingies.
Haven't touched them in weeks, naturally.

High Street is littered with tatty flags attached to every lamp post and telegraph pole, and by God, it looks awful.

May I present the cat the charity said shouldn't be in a home with kids, and it took a lot of arm twisting for them to agree, only relenting after a trial period.
Way too many cats in charity places seem to have a "no kids" rule.
