I *looked* for these articles, and they just don't exist. It seems like this might be this guy's thing? /end

I only found 6 of the sources; the rest don't appear to exist. One is an actual article, but the author and publishing info are wrong. Two are websites with incorrect URLs. There were several whose only internet presence is as a citation in this article (and these were all open source journals) 2/

I got curious and went through the author's publications - I found another article that appears to be relying on AI-generated sources. 1/

The only audiobook version I was able to find elsewhere was the UK version and is location restricted. I don't have an Audible account and would prefer to buy print somewhere else!

Yeah, that's what I was seeing too. Oh well! Print book for me!
December 1, 2025 at 9:59 PM
Yeah, that was what I was gathering; I'm just used it to explicitly stating that it's Audible-only!
December 1, 2025 at 9:58 PM
Darn. Well I appreciate you answering anyway! If anything I'll grab the print book soon (I'm reading it no matter what).

Gotcha! Any clue why the audiobook is being mysteriously hard to obtain (or are there people I can email about it)?
December 1, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Just realized that all of the sites have the publication date as today, but aren't most books released on a Tuesday? Are the sites wrong? That would explain why I can't get the dang book!

I'm just confused, because usually Audible-only books are clearly labeled as such, and this one isn't! Also, none of her other books are Audible-only. I can get the print edition, but I greatly prefer audio, and I can't figure out for the life of me how to actually get it!

All this to say that this absolutely sucks, and I am genuinely so sorry that this is happening to you. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It robs you of your sense of self and ability to function, and it's so devastating.

I did notice that, for me, the brain fog was worse when I was experiencing post-exertional malaise, but I wasn't ever able to figure out what level of activity triggered it. It made me feel so stupid - my cognition was basically gone (and I'm a law librarian, so my entire job is Thinking)

I had long COVID for about nine months (it randomly went away one day - no idea why) and the brain fog was one of the worst things I've ever experienced. I couldn't understand English when people talked to me and it messed with my sense of what was real. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

(The neighborhoods are delineated on Google Maps and Apple Maps and many areas have street signs/banners with neighborhood names)

I wanted this feature to be useful, but based on the admittedly tiny sample pool I tested, it's not. It's not catching the nuance and is flat-out misstating several key points in both articles. /end
