NEW — Video footage obtained by The TRiiBE shows federal agents pulling Laugh Factory Night Manager Nate Griffin as he holds on to a scaffold.

Bystanders screamed at the agents, saying "Show your face," as they detained Griffin.

You're right though - I think a lot of people (myself included) are surprised that Lakeview is a focus right now.

They've been all over. ICIRR sends out localized alerts based on your ZIP code, and this is the first time to my knowledge that ICE has been in my ZIP (at least this aggressively). When they've been in other neighborhoods I hear about it from other sources.

They've been ALL OVER Lakeview and Lincoln Park today.

I live a tiny bit further south than here and they grabbed people from around the corner from me this morning

This is with the caveat that I am white, and they have explicitly stated that they are going after people who don't appear to be white. I know that I am more than likely physically safe, but I've been upset this entire time, and having them this close makes it so much worse.

Not about to blast my entire stress address, but there have been more ICE abduction reports in my neighborhood, including some around the corner from my home. This is the closest they've physically come to me and it's utterly terrifying. (I'm working on campus today at least.)

I'm also seeing a lot of (some unconfirmed) reports on the Chicago subreddit and iceout.org/en/placing ICE in Wicker Park, Oz Park, and West Town. They seem really active today, and are pushing closer to the lake and the Loop.

My alderman just posted this, and I got an ICIRR alert about it. Broadway/Belmont is close to my home. They also grabbed people from LaSalle/Stockton, which all of the Lakeview/LP/express buses go through.

When I think of A.I. I think of asbestos. To begin with everyone thought Asbestos was amazing, folk used it in everything. Then they started learning it was dangerous, research was done, they stopped using it, thou for some the damage was already done. Stop using A.I and limit the damage it's doing.

One of my tasks as a law librarian is to go into our 1L legal writing classes and teach Styles/TOAs/Page#s, etc. to students. It's super helpful! And most law schools don't do it!

Hey so the president is saying that he's going to use major cities with Dem mayors (including the one I live in) as training grounds for the military, which is so beyond unsettling and terrifying that I don't really have the words! What the hell is going on!

I've been playing The Sims in some form or another since 2004, but I can't in good conscience give these people/entities my money. It's my comfort game, but I just can't do it.

There are quite a few posts on the Chicago subreddit with photos and videos. They snatched an entire family. They’re armed and in one of the busiest areas of the city on a Sunday. I want to say that this is unbelievable, but I can’t quite get there anymore.

Apparently they used to fit like 3-5 people in my current workspace, which doesn't seem possible, but that's what they all tell me!

And it's not that we moved those 3-5 people; we no longer have positions for those 3-5 people.

Still can't change my plan!
