Housing in Australia is a hellscape. An actual living nightmare. We've commodified a human right to the point that it's become unattainable for almost everyone except wealthy investors & no real solutions are even being considered. How are we not rioting in the streets?

I'm sitting here without gas or hot water for the 4th time in 3 weeks, having attended 6 rental inspections over the past 3 days that have all been attended by at least 20 other people & then having to hand over a scary amount of personal & financial info to 3rd party websites to submit applications

I pay an exorbitant amount of rent for an apartment with 3 rooms (bedroom, bathroom/laundry, living/dining/kitchen), where the gas & hot water go out whenever the wind gets over 10km/h & there's no affordable places left in Adelaide to move to & buying is about to become even more unattainable 🙃
