Yesterday I was teaching in the Ellen Wilkinson Building in Manchester, and I had no idea who it was named after. So, as it's #womenshistorymonth I decided to look her up, and what a woman she was. 1/2

If this were Just Stop Oil, there'd have been dozens of arrests, furious denunciations in the billionaire press and, perhaps, long jail sentences. Farmers have a right to protest, and the police respect it. Other people, it seems, not so much.
