i really want to keep going with blue prince because there's a lot of stuff I want to try and do, but it's just so disheartening and not fun to do like 5 runs in a row where I discover nothing new and don't even set up future runs better. just 0 progress.

and I say this as someone who was playing tunic and is stuck at the end!like the gameplay itself there is hard the puzzles are HARD but it feels like I've hit a wall with them because i am missing something and haven't worked it out yet, not that the game is refusing to let me access a puzzle

i love a good puzzle game and some weird ass puzzles but I really feel like, especially in the late game, the game's actual design and the puzzles truly feel at odds with each other

and I am literally far enough in the game that I have modifiers on the RNG!! i am doing things that give me a higher chance of getting the rooms I need and getting rerolls!! it just feels like the game is fighting me, not that I've messed up or misunderstood but the game itself won't let me progress

like I get missing part of a puzzle because you don't understand it or having missed some lore but I am getting so frustrated by knowing different things I need to progress, but not being able to accomplish them because the RNG won't roll me a specific room for 5 entire runs in a row

like it's not so bad at the beginning when you're discovering new stuff over and over, but at the point where I am like it feels like artificial obstacles preventing me from just puzzle solving

as a hollow knight fan this shit has never been more true

the upside is that no one is here. the downside is everything else

the former includes the original GBA sprites plus the ones on the DS and Wii releases. for the record. i just think the remaster art is so ugly
