Displacement activities are ones which we use to distract our brains from things. Some times it's to distract from aniexty, intrusive thoughts or as pain management.

Cos #chronicpain sucks, there is a limit to pain meds & long term use.

One of the best kitchen gadgets I bought was this.

A battery free, wind up kitchen weighing scales.

I had previous scales die due to battery leakage. The winding dial eliminates this. Been going strong for the last 10 years.
