Any recommendations for books in Irish that are not of a difficulty that makes them impenetrable for a learner but challenging enough to give plenty opportunities to look up words or phrases? Not textbooks, more like novels etc. - I've a few graphic novels but ideally something longer. #Gaeilge

Fianna Fáil TD Michael Cahill – convicted last week of dangerous driving – was previously found liable by a court for causing a crash that left a young girl with “difficulty learning to walk”.

He was ordered to pay £6,000 compensation to the girl.

Simon Community report "states that of the 11,376 adults now experiencing homelessness, 27.2 per cent are aged 45 to 64, and 2.3 per cent are 65 or older."

Strong statements in report.

Law enforcement is meant to be proactive. The fact civil society is having to beg the state to uphold its own laws is a small yellow bird struggling to breathe in a gas-filled mineshaft. #speirgorm

We're at a stage internationally where laws don't exist anywhere other than paper. The Irish government/state visibly refusing to enforce laws protecting children is the onset of rot in the whole system. Laws & norms are going to die the same way they're dying in the US. #speirgorm

I think the #twitter CSAM fiasco is the first time the government has so visibly ceded an area of law to big business. Of course it's been happening quietly for years but this marks a turning point of something so obviously illegal just being ignored by lawmakers in case it upsets the US. #speirgorm

Three in particular are Israel, the UK and the US.

It is deadly serious.

Comment #2: The Govt is actively trying to *reduce* the public's access to justice so that unlawful decisions are less likely to ever come before a Judge for review.
