I guaranteed you, In time it will emerge that Elon was financially backed to dismantle a space that actually led to bad people being held accountable. It was purchased for billions just to be ran into the ground. It was worth spending that much money to destroy the accountability machine

🧵Worth a read
This is outrageously propagandistic
When it comes to modern war, Ireland is a high-value target: its waters on the western fringe of Europe contain three-quarters of all undersea cables in the northern hemisphere. Despite this, is unprotected and unprepared.

The fight against surveillance must include infrastructure that enables it. We can’t just oppose collection we must also fight storage, analysis, corporate relationships…

As someone writing a book on the history of government data storage and its harms, I’ll say that people in the past knew this!

I want to talk a bit about ChatGPT where it intersected with my work.

I'm this saying now, all of these issues I've also said in person to my co-workers, who know my objections to AI use, so this isn't work-venting or anything.

So, here's the thing about ChatGPT... 🧵

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.
