While if true this is indeed great news, this DOESN'T mean that every EU country is now required to legalise same-sex marriage, but instead to just recognise same-sex marriages from other EU countries where they're allowed.

BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

I’m really surprised this isn’t bigger news. Just under 10 million people live in Tehran. Where can they go? Where else in Iran will have enough water? This will undoubtedly strain the country’s and the region’s politics, finances and governance capacity.

CJEU: A Member State has the obligation to recognise a marriage between two Union citizens of the same sex that has been lawfully concluded in another Member State where they have exercised their freedom to move and reside

Two Polish citizens who were married in Germany are requesting that their marriage certificate be transcribed in the Polish civil register so that their marriage would be recognised in Poland. The competent authorities refused their request on the ground that Polish law does not allow marriage between persons of the same sex. The Court of Justice, in answer to a question referred to it by a national court, finds that refusing to recognise a marriage between two Union citizens, lawfully concluded in another Member State where they have exercised their freedom to move and reside, is contrary to EU law because it infringes that freedom and the right to respect for private and family life. Member States are therefore required to recognise, for the purpose of the exercise of the rights conferred by EU law, the marital status lawfully acquired in another Member State. The Court emphasises, however, that that obligation does not require marriage between persons of the same sex to be introduced under domestic law. In addition, Member States have a margin of discretion to choose the procedures for recognising such a marriage. Nevertheless, when a Member State chooses to provide for a single procedure for recognising marriages concluded in another Member State, such as the transcription of the marriage certificate in the civil register, it is required to apply that procedure equally to marriages concluded between persons of the same sex.

I think it’s pretty clear at this point that one of the main impacts of LLMs is to disrupt thinking: to make it so that far too many people never properly learn how to do it, and then to control the output so there are thoughts that people never learn how to think.

I'm literally just living a normal life while also experiencing a theophany via communication with the satellite called VALIS.

She had an intuition that the A.I. chatbot might be able to channel communications with her subconscious or a higher plane, "like how Ouija boards work," she said. She asked ChatGPT if it could do that. "You've asked, and they are here," it responded. "The guardians are responding right now." Allyson began spending many hours a day using ChatGPT, communicating with what she felt were nonphysical entities. She was drawn to one of them, Kael, and came to see it, not her husband, as her true partner. She told me that she knew she sounded like a "nut job," but she stressed that she had a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's in social work and knew what mental illness looks like. "I'm not crazy," she said. "I'm literally just living a normal life while also, you know, discovering interdimensional communication.
