This wretched coward should live his remaining days in fear over his refusal to stand up to the genocidal Israeli regime.
At a time when some are turning in on themselves – Ireland will continue to engage and to look outwards.

I was delighted to speak to the Global Ireland Summit and to see so many leaders drawn from every section of our society gathered together to discuss our country’s place in the world.

It'd be nice if YouTube could go even one month without deliberately making things worse for people. Today, whatever video I might click on, it pretends "this content is not available" and that the comment sections are turned off and empty, before a refresh of the page lets things load normally.

So Trump replaced Bovino with the guy in charge of Border Patrol under Obama.

But wait, I'm told everything was okay under Obama? Will the extrajudicial slaughters be okay now?

The reason why cyclists and pedestrians push back against these types of campaigns is not because we think visibility is bad (I wear hig-viz!), but because it's victim blaming that diverts attention from the real issues: dangerous drivers and poor infrastructure

There's something so insane about the fact that the app stores will, to the best of their ability, prevent you from accessing consensual pornography while letting pornography that is, by default, nonconsensual pass with a shrug

NTA continues to force Irish Rail to stay on X despite child sexual abuse material scandal
Irish and international experts have said social media platform X was generating child sexual abuse material, as well as nonconsensual "undressing" images of adults, but the National Transport Authority (NTA) is continuing to hold Irish Rail to a contractual obligation to post updates and to reply to messages on the platform formally known as Twitter. The NTA's lack of movement on the issue reflects the Irish Government's position to stay on X, but the authority did not answer questions relating to whether there has been any mandate from Governmenal level or if it would remove the contractual obligation put on Irish Rail as a public service obligation provider.

Once again trawling through the intimate messages of a married couple, which they’re required to submit for a Join Spouse visa to be issued, feeling embarrassed on my behalf and anger on theirs. Why on earth do civil servants at the Department of Justice have any entitlement to read these #speirgorm

Nobody is ever *solely* a transphobe. You never hear somebody described as an otherwise-compassionate, sane and insightful person who has this weird anomalous transphobic blind spot. It's usually their most visible bigotry because (in the UK, certainly) it's the most tolerated.

Thinking about that brief moment in the early pandemic when the government actually reached out to help us, no strings attached, AND how quickly they yanked it all away when they realized that we might get used to being cared for
Do not get it twisted. The REAL change we are seeing right now, and which we need to sustain, is the revealing of how much we have the power to care & provide for each other in ways the state has continually abdicated its supposed responsibility to do in order to consolidate power.
