This wretched coward should live his remaining days in fear over his refusal to stand up to the genocidal Israeli regime.

At a time when some are turning in on themselves – Ireland will continue to engage and to look outwards.

I was delighted to speak to the Global Ireland Summit and to see so many leaders drawn from every section of our society gathered together to discuss our country’s place in the world.

It's over disappointingly quick but being a video game you can just reload it as often as you like! High art tbh

One of the best setpieces in a game in the last decade was the bit in Mafia 3 where you shoot up a klan rally tbh

It's now considered controversial to fight the KKK in a video game.
Alt text: A tweet from DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) reads: “Ubisoft canceled an ‘ASSASSINS CREED’ game set in the post–Civil War era. • Featured a Black Assassin who was formerly a slave • Players would fight the emerging KKK • Leadership canceled it after concerns with U.S. political climate & Yasuke backlash.” The source link is listed as “gamefile.news/p/scoop-ubisof…”. Below the text are two images side by side: on the left, a hooded Assassin in white and red armor from the Assassin’s Creed series; on the right, the red Assassin’s Creed logo on a plain background. Refusing to help is not improved by making a sympathetic face as you put me back in the torture box.

"I just need to live somewhere else"

"I understand, but have you considered letting us electrocute your brain because that's cheaper"

I'd mention it to a doctor but their response would inevitably be "you should take this drug that'll almost certainly fail to help but will probably give you constant diarrhoea"

I was watching a video earlier about Antarctica and what 9 months of unending night trapped in a tiny building with the same handful of people does to researchers there and I think I've figured out why I'm losing my fucking mind trapped in the arse end of galway for the last 5 years

My single Red Hood issue was the 15th best-selling comic of September, like out of all serialized comics in America. Incredibly funny.

Nobody who shifted Tubridy should be allowed forget it tbh

I've a friend who shifted Ryan Tubridy in the 90s and I texted her "your boyfriend is on the telly again" everytime I saw the Late Late for years. Years!

Niall Donald talking about how Jim Gavin ripped him off included the truest, most Irish statement I’ve ever heard in my life, like this absolutely would be what your friends would say to you in these circumstances

I think if we have reached the stage where people are pretending not to understand what a "lawyer" is in order to attack Catherine Connolly, that they really do have very little on her

It was absolutely deliberate. Remember when RTE just wiped that story about the lad who snuck unflattering paintings of Brian Cowen into the National Gallery? It's just that again. Spineless media complying in advance.

I feel like it’s been under-remarked-upon that we now have reason to believe the Indo sat on the Gavin sorry Gav*n story for months and made the revelation with Machiavellian timing. #aras2025

Not going to share 'grift' but Heather Humphreys has just said that I'm a man and the gender recognition act should be changed. Please do not vote for or give a preference for her. Having someone as president who thinks this way would be absolutely awful for minorities #SpeirGorm

Extra funny when you think about how Sinners, which features Michael B. Jordan gunning down Klansmen in broad daylight in slow-mo, is the 10th highest-grossing R-rated film of all time - higher than The Hangover, 300, Logan, John Wick 4, etc....

SCOOP: Last year, Ubisoft cancelled an Assassin's Creed game set during Reconstruction. Was to feature a Black Assassin who, among other things, fought the rise of the Klan

Sources: Leadership nixed it over concerns re: U.S. political climate, backlash to Yasuke

if you announce that you're breaking up with Nicole Kidman because she wanted too much sex you need to do it at a press conference where you're in a full body cast. just a little slit in the head area where a pair of wild, haunted eyes are staring out

The reason you have a display name like "The Ass is the father of the legs" is when you make a good point and someone reposts it, they're also helping to spread an important message, which is that the ass is the father of the legs

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

according to this actual real policy document, you can't even begin the application until the staff member is already working at the Oireachtas

so many questions need to be asked not only of TDs who lied about this, but journalists who fell for it
