The story reminds me of how I've *always* hated the DA2 fandoms unproblematic king Anders bc he *blew up a church*. most of the girlies was like "you go boy" meanwhile that imagery predictably sat way different with my black ass who has a mother that is the same age those 4 little girls would be

I have a friend who said, of Starfleet Academy, that this took them out of it - that seeing a person in a wheelchair in the 32nd century seemed unrealistic, since medicine in Star Trek "should be able to cure whatever was wrong with them."
