A company for carrying out an undertaking of great advantage, but nobody to know what it is.
Sigh
No, again?

I think Duncan Weldon termed this "the stupidest chart" once.

Loving the implication that he tried telling the Board that the pizza market was saturated, and they responded by firing him for not loving pizza enough.
11 days apart. Brutal.

This fundamentally comes down to where one's own lines are as a commentator or as a politician. How closely are you, yes you, willing to work with a racist?
All the supposedly progressive people saying 'Nigel Farage's racism doesn't matter. His fans love it'.

It matters whether the leader of the party leading all the opinion polls is an outright racist. It matters if he called black people 'wogs' and said 'gas them' to Jews. Not everything is a game

In all this discourse everyone's forgetting to slip the Christmas Special in there above Rise of Skywalker.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

They raised $700m, a sum of money that Amazon could just have given them, and that almost certainly isn't enough to deliver the first of a kind SMR. I'm always bemused by the big noise made about investments which are neither particularly generous not enough to do the job.
Amazon’s X-energy closes one of the largest fundraisings by a reactor developer, as investors bet big on nuclear energy. It has signed deals to deliver almost 150 SMRs in the US and UK on.ft.com/49D7TpB @financialtimes.com

The White Horse at Uffington is 'scoured' every few years, and has been for centuries. Look after your earthworks, people.

If they actually wanted you to have it they'd have given it to you years ago and then inheritance tax wouldn't be due.
Did they really work hard for that £1.2m? Or did they get shockingly lucky benefiting from a stupid housing market? This is almost entirely unearned wealth, it's largely the result of dumb luck. And Jill is still walking anyway with £1m of it!

There can be only one, Charlie Brown.
I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her, Charlie Brown.
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius, father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife, and I will have my vengeance, Charlie Brown, in this life or the next.

My favourite memory of this eclipse was the Sun having a giant headline reading "A glimpse of a world without the sun" and someone pointing out that such an experience happened every night.
True story: when the UK experienced a total solar eclipse in August 1999, the music channel VH1 played Total Eclipse of the Heart on repeat all day. I like to imagine someone suggested a day of eclipse themed songs, then they belatedly realised there was only one.
I was once told (have not confirmed) that the gift shop in a museum devoted to Van Gogh in Amsterdam has "Vincent" by Don Maclean playing *constantly*

What comes across from the whole interview is that Danny Kruger has a big theory, and that big theory is "family breakdowns lead to societal breakdown", and he tries to tie everything back to that, and he's quite, quite mad.
Reform are so dangerous and this headline doesn’t do it justice. I also think a piece like this should start with the politician‘s core views just to emphasise the urgency.
