So-called progressives in @cityofatlanta.bsky.social who see how dangerous this is on the federal government must also see it when their colleagues in City Hall look to compromise independent oversight. Corruption has no political party.
Late last night, Trump fired the independent inspectors general of at least 12 major federal agencies.

Inspectors general are tasked with rooting out fraud, abuse, and corruption.

Trump wants loyalists in these positions — a key tenant of Project 2025.

Today, ATL Council can vote to approve long-term funding for PAD (www.padatlanta.org). Even though Mayor Dickens’ secret procurement failed, some councilmembers report that he is still not willing to fund PAD long-term.
