De udødelige dverge by Øvre Richter Frich, the OG 1924 edition. This was included in Nærum’s list of Norwegian horror-reads suggestion. I suspect it might be more of a suspense-kinda thing, but we’ll see!

I caved. I’m now the owner of an antique vulcanite locket with photos of people I don’t know. I hope it comes with a ghost or two.

Aww. Thanks. I keep comparing myself to when I was still studying and didn’t have kids and have been feeling down because it’s so much less than 5 years ago. That being said, some of my reads have been ultrashort & 2 have been comic books

84th read of 25:
Tales for a Rainy Season by Wincy Aquino Ong:
A delightful collection of Filipino horror tales that needs to get back in print (especially in the face of current events in the Philippines)

83rd read of 25:
To Be Taught, If Fortunate by Becky Chambers has a gentle profoundness that I appreciated but sometimes to such a degree that I experienced a bit of lack of tension

82nd read of 25:
The Library at Hellebore by Cassandra Khaw:
Some fairly decent eldritch body horror but I’m starting to think dark academia just isn’t quite my jam. Khaw did better than most to make me enjoy it tho

Starting a new read by an author from the Philippines.

-This book has been through a lot on its way to me in Norway. Namely: Got a bit water damaged due to torrential rain in the Phils. But hey, with that title I suppose it was really asking for it.
