Both my co-worker’s parents passed last year. They were both interred in a single mausoleum tomb/spot.

After all was said and done, there was a few hundred bucks left of the $100k they had left to their kids.

It’s criminal.

It took a highly sophisticated Jacquard weave to create the incredibly detailed oranges that form the fabric of of this early 1890s dress. You can almost smell the citrusy peel. There so many details to observe here, the pattern matching, the cuff trim, the drama! #V&A #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

This is your reminder that if your stomach can’t handle another coffee and herbal teas aren’t your bag, mushroom boullion powder + a spoon of miso + hot water makes a nice little warm drink

Hey did you know that this is what artichokes look like when they bloom?

Also did you know that artichokes will grow in Canada because I didn’t
A hand holding what looks like a dried-up brown artichoke, but the whole top is a vibrant purple Pom-pom Same photo with a different angle, showing more of the purple Pom-pom

In my 30 years as a #StarTrek researcher, this will forever be one of my coolest finds: This screenshot from #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid" shows both 24th/25th century Starfleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard ⬅️ and 20th/21st century thespian Sir Patrick Stewart ➡️ on screen at the same time. How, you ask? 🧵 1/6

The lady who shared the seeds with me - believe it or not hers were nearly double the size of this one. You’d need to slice the loaf lengthwise to make a sandwich.

Quite possible the most delicious tomato I have ever tasted

I shouldn’t have been so jokey about it - I’m still v cautious - masking in indoor public spaces, rarely eating at restaurants, etc - because I’ve seen too many middle-aged friends having heart attacks and strokes, in addition to ALLLL of the brain fog. It’s all really scary!

I grew a really big tomato. That’s my news for the day.
A hand holding a very large red tomato that is bigger than the hand holding it A large tomato cut in half on a wooden cutting board next to a stainless steel chefs knife.
