I definitely agree about Wright being the last of his type.
You're probably right. If players really want to stay, they work something out - even if it means a little less $ or fewer years. I don't think that happens very much in today's game. I'm sure we'll never see another David Wright type. Sigh.

Edwin Diaz going to the Dodgers has the Mets feeling pretty shocked right now. He had indicated to some he wanted to return to the Mets, but according to a source, he chose the Dodgers' offer instead.

Horrifying.
I spoke to a Venezuelan woman who was arrested in this raid and later released with her 4yo son. She said agents broke down their door, pointed guns at them and made sexualized remarks about Venezuelan women. When she returned to her apartment it was boarded up and all her possessions were gone.
