Of course, Trump is always talking to MAGA, no one else believes a word he says. As long as they believe Trump is sound of mind and body, Vance and other pretenders to the crown can't use the 25th Amendment to oust Trump before he has destroyed the Republican brand for a generation.

Awful thought that this may be the calm before the storm but Republicans' fascist ambitions combined with the their wanton destruction of government agencies designed to protect the public (including the military) seems like the perfect storm for catastrophe.
