Even when there are no obvious artifacts, the generated images often have a weird uncanny sheen to them that I personally find vaguely revolting. I can’t really turn that reaction off.

I thought I was starting a regular gothic horror, but even the main title sequence was super intriguing and well done, hinting there's more here. Shortly into it it became clear there are unusual depths in this show, and it's a visual & cinematographic feast too.
