It has a rather unusual model design with drawers that were integrated into hull, containing small furnishings and fittings that illustrate the interior layout.

#PearlHarborDay is observed annually in the United States on December 7, to remember and honor the 2,403 Americans who were killed in the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on December 7, 1941. The United States declared war on Japan #OnThisDay in 1941, entering World War II.

We celebrated over dinner and presented Ted Scull with our Samuel Ward Stanton Award for Lifetime Achievement. We were delighted to have a tour of the Connecticut River Museum and the Art Collection at the Historic Griswold Inn that aptly included drawings by Samuel Ward Stanton.
