I think this is the most portent observation.
If you REALLY thought AI was going to dominate and people who didn't use it would be left behind and unable to keep up, why would you insist on us using it?
Wouldn't you want us to NOT use it so you can keep your advantage?

one thing that sucks about this AI shit is writing pulpy scifi for a TTRPG I'm working on. Would like nothing more than to be able to refer to AI in the sense of like, a cool robot or a snarky computer on a spaceship and not have someone think of this bullshit.

I'll be honest, I ABSOLUTELY get the impulse but I don't think "you suck and must not care if you're not posting about this" is ever going to be an accurate assessment, helpful to those suffering, or an effective way of activating people. youre essentially shaming folks for not being online 24/7

NGL I once had my own idea for a Megaman Reboot with a kinda out there premise.
Basic idea was: a robot comes from the future and informs Doctor Wily that his actions inadvertently kill humanity.
This causes Wily to have a crisis of conscience and the timeline changes from that.
