If the goal of ‘DOGE’ were truly to expose corruption and save taxpayer money it wouldn’t have been preceded by the unlawful firing of 18 Inspectors General whose job it is to expose corruption and save taxpayer money.

It's a coup.
The armed individual who blocked senators from entering federal property bears the insignia of "Triple Canopy", which merged with Blackwater in 2014.

This is a mercenary paramilitary guard for Musk and his minions. *Anyone wearing this insignia should be considered extremely dangerous.*

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) safeguards Americans from abusive financial practices. Created after the 2008 crisis, it enforces consumer laws, regulates banks/lenders, resolves complaints, and promotes financial education to ensure fair, transparent markets.
Reminder: this is completely lawless

Something I’ve been reckoning with over the previous 3 months - I truly think human nature is self indulged and reactive. I don’t believe it is possible to collectively make something known to people 2+ generations removed without subjecting them to it.

I got nervous when the architect of Project 2025, Russell Vought, was confirmed to run the OMB but quickly remembered that Trump said he doesn’t know anything about Project 2025. We should be good, right?

I would urge anybody reading to to contact your Congresspeople and demand that they grow a spine and vote no to confirming Kash Patel and hold Elon Musk accountable for his coup d’etat of our nation’s treasury.

This isn’t normal. Don’t act like it is.

Can’t believe I don’t see anybody talking about the Guantanamo Bay detention facility. For students of history, this is a five-alarm fire: a “undesirable” persons detention facility outside of the formal borders completely under the control of the military with limited to no journalistic presence.

Fascism arrives as your friend.
It will restore your honour,
make you feel proud,
protect your house,
give you a job,
clean up the neighbourhood,
remind you of how great you once were,
clear out the venal and the corrupt,
remove anything you feel is unlike you...
Trump: Today I'm also signing an executive order to instruct the departments of defense and homeland security to begin preparing the 30,000 person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay

“If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken.”

I have a rhetorical question for everybody: Trump’s federal spending freeze executive order goes against Congress. It is illegal in addition to being unconstitutional. However, Trump & Co. did it anyway, and now it has been blocked by a judge. What happens when Trump decides to ignore the judiciary?

I think the lessons of the Holocaust have been lost on us as a whole. We’ve spent so long reinforcing the idea that hatred of groups on race is wrong that we’ve lost sight of the fact that it stemmed from economic turmoil, and a leader who blamed that on out-groups in society.

Of course ending birthright citizenship is blatantly unconstitutional. So is a third term in office.

But I thought the same thing about presidential criminal immunity and holding office after inciting an insurrection.

The obvious is not so obvious anymore.
