Two of the best show endings for me have always been Mad Men and Justified because it’s not just the finale that’s spent trying to close things out but the entire final season dedicated to wrapping up character plots, connecting themes, and moving the story on
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:
What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

It’s really funny to consider that given how Pennywise works, Leon Kennedy would have literally no trouble beating, just suplex him through a window like “what a weird clown”

My book The Black Emperor about a supernatural assassin is currently on sale for 99 cents on Kindle for the next few days, it would be a great present to me this holiday season if you checked it out!

It’s that time of year again where everyone is reminded how much they love STATS, yes Spotify and Apple, tell me how much of my life I spent this year listening to music, especially the very specific minutes spent on certain musicians and songs

Wild to see One Piece finally move to seasonal roll-out, an incredible move to do right before Elbaf, excited to see how it’s going to look after what they managed to do with Wano and Egghead while still doing the weekly anime roll-out, what an exciting time for One Piece

I am struck with awe at how little of your time Legends Z-A seems to waste, you can move Pokemon around whenever you want, change moves, immediate access to fast travel, no text boxes telling you that you picked up an item and put it into the item pouch

Deeply fascinated by the culture and fandom developing around Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, it almost feels like it’s some peoples’ first video game, so many GOTY discussions flooded with comments about how it “undeniably wins” for various reasons that could be applied to any game in discussion

Obviously there’s a lot symbolic and thematic elements to Silent Hill f but the mum & dad fight having them turn into grotesque monsters that spend the whole battle hurling vitriolic speech at Hinanko, only to not die but actually leave the house in human forms as if nothing happened is fantastic

Always appreciate when games use New Game+ as a way to extend the story and build upon it more than just playing the game again but with everything unlocked, digging Silent Hill F using it to recontextualise what’s going on using post-game information while still building on it with new information

Truly fascinating seeing Randy Pitchford over the years be so desperate to become a Hideo Kojima, a Sam Lake, a true video game auteur despite not really doing anything on any of the Borderlands games except rubber stamp cheques, save the first one where he did work on it somewhat

Always interesting how people justify wanting Luffy to not do good things because he's said "I'm not a hero!" but they never dig into how he grew up with Garp "Hero of the Marines" so probably associates being a hero with being a marine, which he hates,, so wouldn't want to be a hero

Very niche gripe but I still find it weird that in Justified: City Primeval they basically gave Raylan a replica of his original hat, which is strange since it felt like him losing it at the end of the final season was symbolic of him moving on from Harlan finally

The whole “Pedro Pascal is in too many things discourse” is really funny because like, he’s just good at his job? Oh man I hate going to the local cafe and seeing the same barista who makes really good coffee, really wish they’d fire and replace them with someone else

It's really cool to watch films like Weapons that trust the actors to act without one million cuts, and also trust the audience to understand what's happening without having characters have to do every little thing, what a great time for movies
