Been on a little plateau since bouncing back from my meniscus tear, but tonight on my final Upper of this set, I finally smashed through my wall and hit 60kg x 6 on bench. 2 sets!

Also! A quick update on identity, since this is a safe space for me regarding this.

For the past 3 years, I've considered myself non-binary. In November of last year, I realised that wasn't totally right.

I am, in fact, Agender.

After a bit of a weird mentally hazy few weeks, it's back to work and subsequently a competition week, which means deload on the strength training.

It's been a hard few weeks. I damaged my meniscus at a competition, which then left me unable to compete in the first Grand Prix of the year.

I focused on strength training and building back what I lost.

Also, Frodo turned 1!!

First 6 weeks of PT led training done. Finished today's full body workout with a 20 minute run.

Now I'm sat chilling with the works best weighted blanket on my tummy.

Signed up for my first competition of 2025.

I'm honestly finding my sessions at the moment have me feeling a little zoned out, so maybe having a competition to look forward to will help me bounce back a little.

Crushed it.

Up to 250kg x 6 on 45° presses and 55kg x 10 seated calves.

Finished with a lovely 20 mins on the elliptical.

Last night's Upper session.

After a day of fire alarms, admin chaos and finishing with a sense of rush and a lack of personal control, I pushed out some great lifts. I increased my face pulls to 54kg and ended with a 4km row.

Lower tonight.

After a day of being cooped inside due to a red weather alert across central Scotland, I'm now sat in the back of a minivan, en route to St Andrews to set up for the Scottish Students Sports (SSS) judo championships tomorrow.

I won't be competing, instead it'll be my first bit of actual Refereeing.

So, I'm now on a PT led programme. Bulking at 2,500 calories and 160+g protein per day.

This means less reps, more weight increases and better form.

And I'm thriving on it.

Having a very PMDD heavy day so far today. Personally, it always presents as either massive paranoia or dysmorphia (almost always both at the same time).

Doing a heavy workout to try and keep the good chemicals flowing to push the bad vibes to the side.

It's Friday, which used to be my Pull Day. I changed to a more spread Upper workout a couple weeks back, so I'm planning to focus on my back and cardio this evening.

Deadlifts, rows and maybe some glutes on the cards, as well as a good 25-45 minute cardio sesh.

Recently, I started writing out to process my feelings regarding being an undiagnosed but "late peer reviewed" autistic person. It's cathartic in ways, but seeing the words so obviously on a page makes the fact that I spent nearly 30 years thinking something was wrong with me very aggravating.
