The issue in this case is whether "Not Like Us" can reasonably be understood to convey as a factual matter that Drake is a pedophile or that he has engaged in sexual relations with minors. In light of the overall context in which the statements in the Recording were made, the Court holds that it cannot.

there's a guy trying to get elected mayor on my bus route (I only see his signs then), and his last name is Lyon so he has a lion logo but his last billboard said "I'm accountable to my neighbors, not politicians" and all I could think of was "The Lion does not concern himself with accountability"

This has actually been true for a *very* long time tbh, if you are paying someone for a commission through the regular payment method do not *ever* leave "commission" or "payment" in the comments, it's intended for non-business purposes and they'll snipe your account if they ever catch it on yours 😞

Plus as it currently stands, only one parent can claim a child on taxes *anyways*, so if both parents have a job someone in the household is going to end up paying taxes anyways

Parents still pay higher taxes after a certain point, parenthood does not actually prevent further taxes upon your income, it at best delays it (and frankly this does nothing to counteract property taxes, which people are prone to paying more of when they have kids)

presumably they would much in the same way I would have to contribute to say, medical treatments for testicular cancer, despite not having any need for that. If something is truly a greater good, just make it a standard payroll tax for everyone, regardless of parenthood status

Making IVF free and making it easy for women to be single parents with no friction (i.e. they can take time off work with full support from the state for x years after childbirth and will have free childcare/extended schooling once they go back) is like baseline demands at this point. Think bigger.

My most controversial take on this is probably that while I think reproductive freedom should be sacrosanct, I don’t really have any problem with additional taxes on (high income) childless people. Someone gotta pay into the pensions!
