Dude - You've read my mind! I wish I could have articulated as well as you did, but I'm on the same boat. Something that's helping me of late is to force myself to do more long-form reading / writing / watching and less short-form. Improving my attention has made me feel more confident (& competent)

Cronyism is often a necessary evil in poor countries. Perfect competition in a market with low per-capita spending means no firm earns enough to invest in R&D, QA, new products, or labour upskilling. Enforced accumulation of capital among competent firms is thus more practical. See: SKorea,China,Ind

For context: I'm trying to understand what hinders rapid R&D in natural sciences besides funding & safety. Why does it take so long to develop a new material or medicine? Can outsourcing repetitive tasks to firms dedicated for this free you to work on more ideas and thus faster reaching of goals?
