My News & Observer pal Rick Nichols apparently spent a lot of his Nieman year (1977-8) in the Harvard Faculty Club, where - according to the essay he wrote for The Crimson - they serve an excellent Bloody Mary.

This goofy story makes it sound like they are two NC lawyers in private practice. Turns out they are federal prosecutors.

Before he died, I knew only Danny Thompson’s gorgeous work as RT (no relation) sideman. Now I know he also was a Pentangle founder long loved for work with many musicians. I’ve gotta lotta listening to do.
