Still not deterring me from wanting to relocate!

I fully admit I can’t eat yogurt as it’s a fermented thing, which intensifies my daily migraines and pisses off my MCAS.

I use Benadryl as an emergency med for my severe MCAS attacks, but I’ve wondered how it affects healing since histamines are involved in the healing process.

Alcohol dehydrates you, so I would not suggest it 😬. I hope you feel better soon 🫂.

Not everyone can boycott Amazon

Many disabled & elderly people are housebound and rely on it

Some medical supplies are more affordable there than anywhere else.

Instead of judging, help create networks of care.

Give rides, drop off food and meds, donate to mutual aid

Take care of each other

He was the one who officially ended the quarantine and forced everyone back to work.

And he let Israel start the genocide on Palestine and did nothing to stop it.

Being compared as better than Trump is still a very low bar. I’m not saying this is great, but the country was already suffering.

People think that when you become disabled, support magically appears

That once it’s “official” you will have your basic needs met

The truth is people fight for years to get the bare minimum in benefits

Caregivers are nearly impossible to find

If you’re not rich or very lucky… you’re on your own

We need less “inflation” aka greed, too.

Prices have skyrocketed in the past 5 years because the billionaires and landlords can get away with it.

My 1 bed, 1 bath apt in SoCal is $1642/month.

Homeless people are not the enemy.

They can’t “just try harder” their way into housing.

It’s the system that’s failing.

Most of us are one emergency away from being homeless ourselves.

We need affordable housing, universal basic income, healthcare & social supports.

We need a safety net

Just when we thought our problems were paid for the night, we got hit with a security deposit and we’re $85 short. Had they mentioned that on the booking site we wouldn’t have paid here. Worse, unless we come up with the deposit, we don’t get a key to our room or our money back until morning! Nuts!

Autistic meltdowns aren’t tantrums.

They’re the bodymind saying “I can’t hold this anymore".

They’re not moral failures.

They’re overload.

Pressure leaving the system.

You don’t need punishment.

You need safety.

I hope you get hired by all of them and you get to choose 🥰🥰🥰

From August 2012 to April 2014, I worked at the San Diego Center for the Blind. My coworker and friend had an office right next to mine.

For a few days, even though the rest of the building was fine and it didn’t have an air vent, his office was so cold we saw our breath.

I used to get bruises and cuts in my sleep at the house I grew up in.

In maybe 2007? I woke up from a nap with red fingerprint marks on my chest. I tried but couldn’t match my fingers to them and never would have been able to do that to myself with the placement. Need to find that old pic I took.

That floor flooded 3 TIMES. Twice were because of the haunted bathroom, and once was because of the washing machine.

Came back to visit friends after moving, and the guy who moved in asked if anything weird had ever happened there or if I felt anything. Answered yes before he even finished.

In 2012, I was living in the bottom level of a house. The level also had the basement/laundry room connected to it.

Got really terrible nightmares there.

Ghost ALSO locked me out of the bathroom that I NEVER LOCKED. My contacts were in there, so I had to miss work.

Guess I should tell some of mine!

Visited a friend in 2009 in PA. Seeing ghosts runs in her family to the point that even her toddler (3 yrs old) was seeing them when I was there.

We were all downstairs, and the bathtub faucet turned on full blast. No one else was home.

You know, I think exclusively trying to get scientific proof of everything doesn’t really leave room for some things we can’t yet explain.

Qualitative research still has that room for experiences and anecdotes.

That’s what some ghost story tellings are, and they should matter, too.

As someone whose family went through it and who also trained to sit in that armchair, you are absolutely right.

A lot of that training faded away when I became disabled and had to stop graduate school. But I’ve seen all kinds of folx with all kinds of problems and they all deserve compassion.
