I usually use Libby but my library doesn't have a book I was looking for. Attempted to use a non-Amazon app but the book was going to be $47 USD in this app. I can't afford doing another subscription (so it could be $15/mo.) What are we doing here fr.

I think there should be more of a conversation about universities using third parties like Duo or SeatGeek that get to collect a bunch of student information without us being able to opt out.

This is, in large part, pandemic revenge.

As far as these oligarchs are concerned, all science does is tell them stuff they cannot do.

They can't keep spewing carbon.

They can't keep businesses open as usual when millions are dying.

They have concluded that research is the enemy of profit.
Absolute BLOODBATH at HHS/NIH/CDC this morning. Generation of scientists, health care officials being wiped out

When you make a new friend and a few weeks later scroll your TBR list and find your friend's name as an award-winning journalist who wrote a whole ass book. WHAT. I love people. People are so cool.

Being an adult means coffee doesn't really energize you in the morning, but if you drink it after 4pm, you're awake for the entire night.

Everything feels unpredictable. My emotions. The world/politics. What I'm doing next year. I am stressed.

I can no longer find the simple information about how long you should use a stainless steel water bottle in order to offset the high energy/water output to make it... (This used to be relatively available). Instead, I found LOTS of articles about how we are using our water bottles for *too long*.

If you have a smidge of power and you catch yourself thinking:

Maybe we'll be safe if we:
- tone this justice program a bit
- take that 'decolonization' reference off the website
- nix that grant for decarbonization...

know that you are playing your part in Trump's game perfectly.

I've been taping some paper to the wall and using leftover paint on it to doodle. I think I'm going to make a weird little book when I get a bundle of them.
