Just checked and it isn’t. I don’t know what their original source was, and they rewrite for an 8-12 year old level. Photos are Reuters anyway.

It is unfortunate, but I’m just happy there are multiple countries who are doing the right thing.

Onto the sixth repeat of Europapa. 💙

I’ve just been told the Dutch children’s news site has an item about it. The headline is: “Celebrations in New Zealand Because of New Shop”.
Thanks, Jeugdjournaal, for making Ao/NZ sound like the most benighted backwater 😄

Very happy with the Avrotros decision here.

I figured they must be near the end of their run, after so many years. Oh well. Bet it was a special night though!

I’d still like to see Shihad!

So I went and looked, assuming the shipping would be prohibitive as usual, but it’s free! Hm!

As usual, looking worshipfully at you for the first ones on the list. Don't know who the last two are though.

To be fair, the one time he didn't follow others' party lines (PVV, BBB) was to approve €3.5 billion for Ukraine earlier this year.

But this looks poor no matter what the issue is: a double demissionair prime minister no one voted for is ignoring the majority of parliament.

They are a fucking plague.

Remember how I was helping someone navigate banking bots yesterday? They were approached outside a supermarket this week by someone pretending to be an employee offering to deliver free cakes to their house. Just give your address! (They didn’t)

Not sure if you saw the post that it’s probably more about not putting more food on the table than necessary to show your guests you can afford it, rather than avoiding leftovers for their own sake. But yeah, the patriarchy is everywhere in all its diverse forms

😂 Sorry, I hadn’t clicked to the fact that you were here!

Sad, but true. And it is often easier to write them out than it is to struggle with printing them in a legible format.

That does sound more like it. Not entirely sure how much it applies in the southern, more culturally Catholic, regions, but this is definitely a thing. Possibly related to the Dutch saying, “doe je gewoon, dan doe je al gek genoeg” = if you act normal, then that’s already crazy enough. 😄
