Christmas Ident Calendar Day 7. A CBBC competition led to BBC1's 1st animated Christmas Ident in 1986. On Christmas Day, 20.75m watched the last Just Good Friends, then 30.15m (19.50m excl omnibus) watched Den give Angie divorce papers on EastEnders, followed by Only Fools & Horses on 18.80m.

The first three series of City Lights are now on iPlayer, looks like series three hasn’t been repeated since 1988 according to the BBC website. It deserved a long life on VHS, DVD and iPlayer, sadly that wasn’t to be.
