Like, I understand there aren't really a lot of winning plays right now; you can't un-book Bit Brigade, this isn't their fault and they should not be blamed for people wanting to see them.

But a lot of people who are really important to Magfest are very upset and there's real damage being done here

It's just sad. We're knee deep in the "who cares" age of human history, and Magfest was supposed to be 4 yearly days where the answer could be "we do"

Seeing them flaunt in their PR that they embrace the era of not giving a shit makes me really sad.

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers.

The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

Dark Souls singlehandedly ruined an entire genre. ARPGs used to be so varied in gameplay and mechanics but then a bunch of 4chan memes convinced every developer the best game to make is one where you spend ½ the game dodge rolling around super choreographed moves because you have the HP of a hamster
